2016 AASHISH GARG SCHOLARSHIP

Aashish Garg graduated from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor in 2001 with a Bachelors Degree in Science and Engineering. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 2006. After graduating from law school, Aashish worked as an Associate Patent Counsel at Qualcomm, Inc., practicing in the area of intellectual property. Aashish passed away in Houston, Texas on Wednesday, March 9, 2011. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife Neha Jain Garg along with many loving family members and friends.
On behalf of Aashish and his family, SABA-San Diego will be awarding the Aashish Garg Scholarship ($2,500) to a deserving law student who has demonstrated academic achievement and a commitment to the South Asian community. This year’s scholarship has generously been funded by Jones Day, an international law firm with more than 2,500 attorneys on five continents.
